These are recorded readings, not a forecast. The two charts use separate vertical scales, so their line heights cannot be compared.
The 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) summarises air quality over the past day. NEA calculates a sub-index for each of six pollutants and reports the highest as the PSI. How NEA calculates PSI.
1-hour PM2.5 is the concentration of fine particles over the past hour, in micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m³). It shows more recent changes than the 24-hour PSI. The two readings use different scales, so their numbers are not directly comparable.
